Any record lovers out there have suggestions for must-have compilation albums?

Q: How many Surf musicians does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. Surf musicians can’t afford light bulbs.

I'm assuming you want only 60s bands correct?

Cause there are some great modern comps too.

HERE YA GO!... I took of pic of some from my collection. These were released mostly in the early 80's through the early 90's. Nevermind the PULP FICTION soundtrack, THESE were the essentials 60's surf recordings to own! All on indie labels like Romulan and Satan but they got world-wide attention through collectors and indie outlets. Unfortunately, many are out of print now but you can find them if you really try!

Everybody's Going Surfin' Nobody's Going Surfin' isn't my favorite content-wise but I get such a kick out of the cover

I am looking for mostly Instrumental 60's, but the more modern space stuff usually makes me happy too. I spent awhile on amazon looking up the modern surf music I already own on cd, but it doesn't seem like much of it is on LP.

I really recommend the Locked In to Surf series on Alopecia Records. A great collection of surf bands from the mid 90's like Sir Bald Diddley, Green Hornets, Jackie and the Cedrics, the Apemen and many more. There are 4 volumes of them.
