There are important differences between overdrive + boost pedals and straightforward boost pedals. Pedals that add overdrive also compress the signal. Plain boost pedals should not add compression. Compression after reverb (or delay) greatly increases echo prominence, compression before reverb does not.

So it depends on your plan. I vary the effect chain order among songs (but this is easy with my setup).

EP booster doesn’t seem to compress at all, Sonic Blue Twanger adds just a little compression in high settings. So it looks nice to have EP after when I need more drip, and Twanger before for some slight overdrive that doesn’t need a lot of drip.
