June Birthdays 
With a goal of getting the next issue of the magazine out by the end of the year, it's time to start rounding up songs and ads for the next issue. We're also open to suggestions for interview and feature ideas - if there's a band we haven't interviewed, that you think we should, please send an e-mail to: records@dblcrown.com
Here's the scoop on the upcoming issue:
Song & Half Page Advertisement In The Continental Magazine - Issue #23
If you are in a band or run a label that produces surf, instro, garage, rockabilly or exotic music, you can have your song on the next Continental Magazine CD for only $80 per song. In exchange you will receive:
♦ 12 copies of the finished magazine with CD (these retail for $6.95, so if you sell all 12 magazines you will make $83.40).
♦ 1 half page advertisement in the upcoming issue (measuring 5.0 inches wide x 4.0 inches tall)
If you have sent a CD for review in the last 6 months we probably have your CD and can just take a song from it. If not, then you to send a CD or CD-R with the track or tracks you’d like to submit. We can also receive WAV files sent via Dropbox. Payment can be sent with your CD (cash/check/money order), you can send a Paypal payment for $80 to: records@dblcrown.com, or you can pay with your credit card through our website.
This is only available for songs that are surf, instro, garage, rockabilly or exotic music. There are probably some songs that are outside these genres that will be acceptable too. However, we don’t want songs that are obviously outside these genres – no techno, modern/alternative rock, modern country, folk, classical, etc.
Issue #23 will be out by the end of the year and will include in-depth interviews, tons of CD and DVD reviews, and much more. The 20+ song CD sampler will include cuts from many great surf, garage, lounge and rockabilly combos!
If you would like to send music for review in The Continental, please get it to us by November 15th, 2014. Deadline for ads/songs for the compilation CD is November 30th, 2014.
