Here is a reasonably interesting article on the Pulp Fiction movie's iconic soundtrack. As SG101 readers , you probably know a lot of this stuff, but it was fun to read.

Cool read, I think this should be moved to general discussion area though.

So, it's Karyn Rachtman to whom we owe the horrification of Comanche.

One thing that's always got me about the 'Pulp Fiction' soundtrack album is, Link Wray's "Rumble" is absent, although it was in the movie. My only guess would be a licensing issue; they could use the song in the movie, but not on the resulting soundtrack album?

Fast Cars & Loud Guitars!

There is a special 2cd edition with more songs and an interview with
Quinten. I believe that Rumble is on that special edition.

Does he know Quentin?

rumble is on the deluxe edition of the soundtrack.

Very good read indeed. I admit that Misirlou and that movie got me back into playing surf again. That song still shows up in our set from time to time. It is a great song to grab an audience that is not so familiar with our genre.

Thanks for posting.

I'll have to put the deluxe edition on my "to buy/to find" list. I'd always avoided buying the soundtrack because of the omitted songs.
