Toss-up between these two:

There should almost be 2 sub categories.
Playing live, and concept videos.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Can I cheat and nominate the movie Endless Summer. Plenty of music and vintage surf. It's also probably the first surf video.:-)

I nominate the "Declassified" DVD by the Penetrators. Hands down. Spanky compiled and produced this marvelous comp from mostly film footage shot at their live shows. If someone here doesn't have it..... they need to get it.

It was a true labor of love for Spanky and is a work of surf music art for all time.

The behind the videos commentary by the three surviving members (at the time Spanky was working on it) is as historically important as the videos themselves are.

Did they actually produce a (real) "video?" Yep, the included Redlined vid is a great testament to their style, amazing music and sense of humor.

I think I'll go pour an IPA and have a go at "Declassified" (again).

Best Reverbs,

ed

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

It's a winning combo for those 2 bands.

I like this one; Gear played to the trailer of Step Into Liquid:

This one has to be a contender in the "Classic MTV-style Video" category Yes

I thought of this one the other day. All the videos posted are great.

I agree with Jeff. There should be two categories. One being music video and the other live performance video.

I hate to be a complete self centered prick but I'm still going with The Tormentos. Great song, great imagery that makes sense together. Really gets you going!

Hope to see more posted.

I really like this series of stock footage videos:

http://youtu.be/zADbqwt4ZX8

I am not nominating videos of my own band, just making you aware of two.

Plus there are a few "unofficial" stock footage videos on YouTube that someone made for some of our songs. I linked the non-explicit ones...there are few more, just search YouTube.

Ran

The Scimitars

Great music and videos Ran.....really dig!

there was a music video that i thought was really well done but i can't find it. i'm not sure if it was the concussions or someone else doing the skeleton thing. from what i remember they were driving around in a car and maybe picking up band members. ?
