Anyone modded out their strat with new pups and still have the originals? I'm interested in a set, or two. They don't have to be vintage, but, at least MIM, or, a high end Squier model. Or, suggestions of what Mod Pups(for Surf sound) would best accommodate these projects?
thanks

How about a set of Fender Vintage Noiseless PUs for $100 shipped? They are basically new and were only in my MIJ Strat for a few weeks.

Keep it Drippy Brothers and Sisters!

Did you buy them new? What color are they? And what did you wind up putting in the MIJ?
Thanks

I bought the PUs new. They are aged white (cream) in color. I found a set of VanZandt True Vintage PUs here on SG101 and installed them in the MIJ. I have another Strat with the Vintage Noiseless Fenders in it and it was too much a duplication in tone for me.

The VNs surfed just fine and I ran them with a push pull pot for neck bridge, sort of a Tele/Jag middle position tone when needed.

Keep it Drippy Brothers and Sisters!

Sounds like a good deal-I'm thinking about it. Its a little more than I was hoping to spend on just one of the two projects at this time. And I was really hoping to bridge at least one of them with a p90 style... If you still have it when I decide, I'll sure take you up on it. Thanks
