After much deliberation, I've decided to sell my Jag Tan Annie. This particular guitar is a one-of-a-kind Gretsch. It was the production prototype for the 125th Annies, it was the first to feature ML Bracing and was the exact guitar used in the catalog and promo photos for Gretsch's 125 Anniversary.
Incredible guitar, easily the nicest guitar I've ever played, but we just moved into a new house and I'd like to have a larger cash cushion than we currently have.
In addition to the guitar and original hardshell case, this sale will also include a hand-made strap from legendary leatherman Tom Nix, a matching belt buckle and a letter of provenance from Joe Carducci marking this as the first 125th Annie.
The straps/buckles were commissioned by Gretsch to include with the 25 gold leaf 6120s that year, so they're incredibly rare. I don't think I've ever seen one for sale, actually.
Condition of the guitar is excellent all around, with some minor swirl marks and hardware tarnish from normal play. Only cosmetic thing to note is a slight nick in the headstock where I slipped while trimming a string end.
Photos show it with a gold TV Classic, a Duane handle and a Tru Arc. It will ship as stock with a chrome PowerTron, a flat Bigsby handle and the Adust-o-matic bridge.
Asking $2500 plus shipping for everything, or best reasonable offer.
Oh, and please email, rather than PM, as those reach me faster.
