Actually now that I think about it, The First time I saw them was when they played at the Baskin Robbins Ice Cream parlor in Long Beach on PCH when my old band the Intrepids played there too. it was I was blown away by them back then too. I met with Benny from the Volcanics today. He was kind enough to drive over 50 miles to provide me with a copy of the new CD!!! This is great because I'll be able to play a tune (maybe two) on Clint's show tomorrow. Tune into www.kcrlive.com tomorrow, May 11, at 4 p.m., Pacific Time, to listen to Clint Beachwood's A Day at the Beach! I've got some fun stuff planned! I agree, the show today was killer, Kristena has great taste in surf music. Of course she only Likes Trad. stuff, but I can't fault her for that, cause it is great sounding. was it just me or my computer, but did the lead guitar on the Volcanics instro sound overly distorted? I know that Frankie usually plays really loud live. Hope he didn't overmodulate the Mic, or recording equipment on all the songs???? Jeff(bigtikidude) —Jeff(bigtikidude) |

I clicked on the link to their website, and it took me to a screen that said "This IP address cannot be used for browsing." On myspace, there's a bulletin about their album being available, but it says it's being sold at Tower Records in West Covina. I'll try to look into it a bit more in the meantime, though. |
