Yard sales?

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Something like this would make a great footswitch enclosure in keeping with the toolbox theme

Old punks never die... They just become surf rockers.

...Or something along those lines. (find a WW2 can?) I'd run with it, if I wasn't already into blonde tolexing everything in sight.

That was the first thing that came to mind after I saw the tool box tank. Just need to find an ammo can long enough. Would be cool to have old knobs from a military radio.

it has to be 18" long inside to fit the tank.

Squink Out!

Does anybody have any sound clips of the surfybear fet reverb tank?

Are they hard to make?

He has some on his website comparing it to a real tank.

if you can replace a selector switch in a strat, you can build this reverb.
Basic soldering skills.
Instructions were clear for me, my electronics knowledge is very basic. 101 level.

I might have to try this then.
I've been looking for a good reverb option for about 130 or less.

Any suggestion on which tank to use? Which is closest to the original?

Still rockin' after all these years!

Hey Don - From my readings, it is generally accepted that the only thing like an original is...an original. I have read about some folks finding old Gibbs pans and then it is just a matter of them being is operable condition. For the new pans out there, there seems to be a consensus that any one of them represents some kind of sonic compromise.

Please send me STP & Mooneyes stickers. I've been rocking a toolbox SB FET Reverb for over a year now without them and it's just not happening for me yet.

Not gigged yet, rehearsal last night was the first time out. I realized it needs a bypass switch and an inboard power supply and and STP or Mooneyes sticker. Yep kickable, and in the spirit of the band.

Go to SoCal speed shop. Thrush muffler is a good sticker

Oh yeah! My dad was a car dealer and as a kid I had all those speed shop stickers. We even went to the Fremont Dragstrip and saw DOn Garlits and that other guy drag at 240mph. I totally miss that 70s greaser scene.
You mean the Speed Shop in Pomoma?

Squink Out!

I don;t see the Thrush decal for sale at SoCal Speed Shop online.
Papa's Speed shop online has the vintage decals with free shipping.

Try ohios finest summit racing or honest Charlie speed shop. Oh yes my dad was a true hot rod club guy. The crank busters , road knights the whole deal. Sunday at the drags was my childhood. Cherry bomb muffler is a good sticker to. Cadman
