Hey everybody,
last week we played a nice gig during a cruise through the famous Hamburg harbour and managed to get some videos. Playing on a boat is a bit shakey but we had a very fun evening and a pretty enthusiastic audience, which included all(!) the members of a local surf band. After the concert we talked a bit and one of them remarked (as a compliment) that our music was "very traditional". What do you think?
Feel free to comment, it will be much appreciated!

Cool stuff! Not near, but ON the water. You guys got a pretty good sound in what looks like a narrow confines. Nice job thanks for sharing!

Thank you!
Actually in my book this is the ideal situation for playing music: small to medium sized room, no elevated stage, no PA, just some guys with drums and amps directly in front of the people they're playing for.

Nice! The bass comes through well in the recording. It usually drops out with my camera.

I liked what I heard. What was the ship with all the outboard lights?

Nice gig and video/audio. Congratulations! Talk about load-in and load-out...don't drop anything, unless you have dive gear at hand. Whew.

Thank you for all the kind comments!
Unfortunately I don't know anything about the ship in the "Space Ride" video, but it looks like a freighter (there is lot of freight traffic in Hamburg).
Loading gear aboard definitely was a bit of a challenge, especially since our bass player borrowed a huge and heavy Ampeg box for this gig: 4x10 plus 1x15 in a single cabinet! That was actually too big to fall in the water between the ship and the pier. However whan it came to my own small amp I really had the thought: If you stumble now, make sure you fall forward and INTO the boat!

Sounds great Simon, I hope to catch one of your shows one day. It was nice to meet you in Berlin btw.
