Permalink Danelectro Dano Pro - SOLD

New Topic

Selling my Danelectro Dano Pro in Tangerine. I received this in trade, but as much as I enjoy it I could use the cash more.

Great tone, sounds just like a Dano should, with excellent playability. Neck is comfortable, and the combo of hollow construction, lipstick pickups and a metal nut make this a twang machine. Also, I'm not much of a slide player but traditionally these make great slide rigs.

Cosmetically its in pretty good shape, as well, with just a couple buckle marks on the back. The yellowing on the pickguard and binding tape seems to be original, as other examples I've seen online have the same "relic" treatment.

These are long discontinued, and the Tangerine Orange color seems especially tough to come by.

SOLD.

Hey I never noticed before that these guitars have an updated version of the Dano 3-point bridge, with individual saddles instead of the rosewood shingle. Cool compromise. Does it have 'that' sound?

Squink Out!

I honestly can't say, as I've never played a rosewood bridge Dano - let alone a vintage one.

Not sure on spacing, but it's not unreasonable to think you could swap on a rosewood version if you preferred.
