Permalink For Sale / Trade: MIJ Firemist Gold/Aztec Gold Stratocaster

New Topic

Recently picked up this MIJ Stratocaster, it's either Firemist or Aztec.. I couldn't decide based off of the google images, so I'm saying either-or.
Nothing is wrong with it, and I really dig the color - but I've come to realize I'm just an offset man, and will always be.
The neck feels great, the fingerboard is stunning, and the guitar sounds nice as heck "uber tonz 4 dayz" but, again, I'm an offset man....

Thankfully the weather has cleared up here in south Texas so I could get some outside pics:

I tried my best to take some indoor and outdoor pics so you could see the coloring on it. It's a hard color to photograph. very very pretty, despite not being a Strat man I have come to realize I will definitely own another gold Fender guitar. Worth noting is that this thing is in absolutely pristine condition. Seriously, I can't even find a blemish to photograph to point out. It's that perfect.
I tried to take different pics, but if I missed something, or you want more pics let me know here, or PM.

I'm looking to trade it, rather than sell it (Although I wouldn't be opposed to selling it) I'm looking specifically for Fender offsets: Jaguar, Jazzmaster...a Bass VI, an XII, etc.
Maybe offset bodies/necks, whatever - Let me know!
I'd also be interested in two 15″ JBL D130F speakers if anyone has a pair in good condition... (Of course all of this with cash added/negated where applicable.)

I'm open to all trades though, please don't be afraid to PM me.

This topic is also available at Offsetguitars.com, and if no interest is taken here/there I may put it up on Strattalk, as well. I've also recently discovered Reverb.com too, so if you see this other places yes it's all me and not some scammer.

Thanks for lookin' y'all.

Ariel needs this to match his '65 Jazzmaster.

Big Grin Very pretty indeed!
In some of the pics it looks to be exactly Aztec Gold (like my JM), some look darker and warmer, mine has more of a Greenish hue than Reddish. So it's hard to tell.

This is too far away for me but if I was stateside and considering buying I'd want to see the headstock area back and front and know the year it was made. I'm not completely sure but lathe marks on the pickup poles usually mean ceramic type in which case the body routings might be deeper - not the type purists crave but no doubt it will be a very nice guitar regardless. I used to own a really eye catching 1990s gold Fernandes Strat with ceramic pickups, very balanced sound overall but just a bit lacking in bottom end.

It's brand new. It's a 2013, these aren't even over here in the states yet, really.

What is the Strat worth in your opinion so I could offer up a fair trade?

Wow. Killer guitar. If you opt to sell, what as you asking?

To Boldly go where no Tiki has gone before...

I sent a few pics of the Bass VI last night via email. I hope you received them.

Shucks, I've been busy and didn't login until today to see your message. I'm ready. Send me that email with shipping instructions!

So did y'all work out a deal?

To Boldly go where no Tiki has gone before...

Yes, a deal has been made and completed between myself and Hammond101.

Hammond was great to deal with. Great communication and prompt delivering. I can always vouch for him.

I'm not sure how to close topics... So, mods close this please.

Yes fellow SG101ers I am the new owner of this beautiful gold Strat. It was waiting for me at my office when I cam back from a business trip today.

N0_Camping4U is a straight up honest guy to do business with. I never had a doubt the guitar would be exactly as he described (new) and shipped promptly. I'd trade or buy from any time.

Keep it Drippy Brothers and Sisters!

Congratulations to you both! That guitar sure is lovely.
