Wes,
I haven't picked one up yet.
A friend made me one but before I got to hear it he tweaked it some and it's so unique that I haven't found a use yet.
This thread revival made me want to go out and grab the EH though........

Cheers,
Jeff

$50 is fine price... and it is a pretty interesting sounding fuzz pedal for that price. But... it is super thin. The Maestro isn't that thin, and it seems like they tried copying the sound off the album itself instead of an actual Maestro.

It is really thin... it could be quite useful. It does a lot of what my Rat does, so I don't think I could justify a third fuzz pedal on my board(I have a Fuzz Face and Fuzz Factory as well). I really want the Death by Audio Fuzz War or the Wren and Cuff Box of Fuzz. The Fuzz War... so thick... Drop an octave on a POG and then into the Fuzz War... it would be amazing. And the Box of Fuzz is kind of amazing sounding.

It keeps note definition pretty well, but I agree with Jake it is quite thin. I've been running it into an MXR EQ which I had lying around to shave some higher mids off and boost 125k a bit which helps fill it out.

Still very piercing though. I think I'll use it on more noisier tracks where I'm having trouble standing out.

It seems to nail the thin fuzz tones good (from what I can hear on the videos), it's cheap, and it only has two knobs which are all good things.

If I had to pick a top fuzz, it would probably be the two knob tone bender.

I have a Zvex Mastotron which can nail a multitude of smooth to raunchy to broken fuzzes, as well as being trebly or bassy depending on how it is set up. That's also its downfall though, because it's so freakin' difficult to set the same sound twice because there are so many knobs and switches. It will do a good Mosrite Fuzz or any number of other fuzzes when it's dialed in right.

I'll have to give the EHX a try!

Actually, now I think about, perhaps the thinness is the actual appeal of the Satisfaction. I use a Turbo Rat mainly, and the Satisfaction just has an extra level of squalor and trash the Rat can't quite reach. I guess I have enough big bottom end already (must be all the beer and lack of gym!)

How is the performance of the Satisfaction with chords and such? Maelstrom works well with even complex chords as it's anything but mushy – more like percussively crispy.

Squink Out!

FWIW it's a Jordan Bosstone clone.

i actually ended up selling mine, it just ended up being too thin in the EQ department, right now im running a earthquaker devices dirt transmitter and im loving it

if the satisfaction could have been fatter i would still have it

Mine's locked up in the closet...
It is way too thin IMO and only sounds good when you play it at home/low volume, so it might be a useful tool in a studio situation.
Question: what do you guys think about JBL D130F speaker(or any alu dustcap speaker) vs. fuzz pedals? My experience is: stay away, stay far away from those speakers with anything that has more drive than a echoplex booster.
