As much as I like this great guitar by my pal Bob Shade, it gets almost no use. My grand plan was for Maz to play this when I played my Doubleneck, but then he went back on drums. And Johnny and Russell are Jazzmaster guys. SO.....
It has really nice tasteful pin striping. IF that is your bag, it would be hard to improve on this. If you don't want to start a band called "Phantom Surfers" or if you don't want to start a Phantom Surfers tribute band, the neck lettering can be easily removed and I would be happy to do so. In fact, I have been trying to erase the name Phantom Surfers for over 25 years, as evidenced by our recorded output.
Comes with the original alligator Mosrite style case. These are going for $1100 new these days, SANS the custom pin striping. So how about $800.00.
It does play very good, in fact a case can be made that it plays better than my 65 Vibramute Mosrite. And that is one of the good Mosrites. You won't be disappointed!
