Hey Brian,

what's up with the new advertisement on the bottom on the page? Collecting signatures for something? It slows down the page and I can't browse it anymore. Cry

It's just for today. On my desktop browsers you can minimize it by clicking the X and it will stay minimized at the bottom of the page.

Oh, okay. Just FYI this really slows down almost everything on the machine I'm using. I have to admit though, that I am forced to use IE right now. Maybe that's the issue. Minimizing won't help either. Scrolling feels like slow motion and posts take ages to open. Also slows down my other tabs. On the other hand it's a good thing and I appreciate it.

Interesting. I'm in IE and seeing no performance issues with the banner.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

What version of IE are you using?

The javascript for the banner loads asynchronously so it should not affect you browsing SG101 if you have a recent web browser.

Thanks for putting this up Brian- I wasn't even aware today was dedicated to this cause, and it took under a minute to send an email out.

Its really makin my IPhone slow down or lock up.
Luckily I'm leaving for work soon.
And I don't visit much during the day.

Yeah that explains it. You'll have a better time if you update to the latest.

Yeah I noticed it was straining my tablet and Android. Again, sorry for the inconvenience, but it's just for 24 hours or so.

Big Grin that's what I thought.

Home computer is running Win7 with Mozilla Firefox 27.0. No issue detected, smooth as usual.
