I'm selling this behemoth. Gibson, not known for their amps, attempted to put out their own version of the Twin Reverb. It lasted about 2 years, and this is one of the few that made it out of production. I'd work out a deal with someone on this list if interested, but this monster is HEAVY! I'd entertain trades as well.

Never seen one of those before but I know the vintage style with the rough vinyl 'weave'. Can you describe the sound of the amp, and the output tube compliment? I used to have an Epiphone EA 12 RVT 4x8 40w combo. It had the best reverb. You could even get a reverb-only signal out of it. Was really cumbersome (made Twin look small, though it wasn't as heavy)and hard to sell. Eventually I traded it for a pair of keyboards.

The reverb is just a bit lacking, but the amp needs an overhaul. I swapped out the 6L6s and put in a matching set and there was a big difference. I'm sure it needs a cap job as well. But the sound is actually pretty darn good, surprisingly. I have never owned anything Gibson before, honestly.
JObeast, I think the weave tolex is pretty cool. This guy is pretty heavy, which is why the side handles were added. The tube components are virtually the same as a Twin reverb, except the tremelo is tube-driven like the old brownface amps.
