I'm too old,
And was already in the band for a month.

Love their sound n energy.
But I don't fit their look
I'm not 5 foot tall Latino,
And not really into wearing slacks,
Dress shirt and a tie.
Plus I don't have short black hair.

I wish them all the luck.
Just not the right band for me.

Ditch the Hawaiian shirts people! It makes surf bands look sloppy! The original era surf guys looked sharp and dressed with class. I don't understand why looking good is a bad thing now

I kinda like looking sharp onstage. Although sometimes I dress like a biker, but Dick Dale made that okay.

I say dress however you want. If you want to wear Hawaiian shirts, then do it. If you want to look sharp, then do it. Who cares as long as you're having a great time playing great music.

Eww. I auditioned with a young lady drummer for a surf outfit and she told me she had recently been in some kind of naked group hug with Dick Dale and I don't know, his band? That gave her some kind of cred in my eyes. he probably absorbed some of the animal magnetism... 'surf beat'

Sharp looking bands are a good thing, and I don't much like Hawaiian shirts, but I would go for a workable bass player first and a matching accessory second. Blame it on Cheap Trick.
