DYNOTONES MOVIE THEATER SHOW AND EVENT !!!!
OCTOBER 26th 2013
In 2011, Two guys from Europe (Jesper Bram/Denmark and Dirk Behlau/Germany) set out to make a documentary about Kustom Kulture featuring artist and kustom builders from around the world. "FLAKE AND FLAMES". It features guys like Von Franco, Dan Collins, The Pizz, Doug Dorr, Cole Foster, Coop... as well as some history about Ed Roth, Robert Williams and much more.
Fast forward to today..... with acceptance and help from Kustom Kulture fans ...they've been able to complete the movie.

Dirk and Jesper have decided to make the pilgrimage back to release the movie in proper form with an event held here in Southern California.

The evening kicks off with a set from The Dynotones

Thanks! That means a lot. When I finally do get out to the West Coast, I'll need 3 or 4 months to ensure I see all my friends play at least one show. Be pretty EPIC! actually.

We are looking forward to playing inside the legendary Art Theatre. The Dynotones will be set up in front of the big screen with vintage visual footage playing simultaneously with our performance. A few years ago we did the same type thing for a Drag Racing event in Bakersfield and it went over really well. This event will feature a lot of the kustom kulture artists that are affiliated with this movie. This is not a typical SG101 kind of event but there may be a few of you in the area that may actually enjoy this night of Flake And Flames.

The Boardwalkers played there on the stage with a surf film playing.
Before the viewing of the Endless Summer.
Quite the cool theater.

Krazy Aces ....... I listened to your band on youtube. Sounds like the surf is pounding the East Coast !!!! Kool man...wish you guys could make it.
For those attending, our recently released cd from Germany Modified will be available at the premiere.
Dirk and Jesper, the directors of the film, are the guys that did the packaging and poster that comes with the cd.
Normally you would have to fly to Europe to have all in one place at the same time.
So what am I throwing down ????
The collectors editions of "Flake and Flames" movie and Dynotones "Modified" will be available.... one night only

For those attending, our recently released cd from Germany Modified will be available at the premiere.
Are there new tracks on this CD? I thought I'd heard it was a re-mix/re-release of the previous albums.

Hi Steve,
Yes like the title track this cd is Modified. It is an enhanced CD
For a follow up to our first release and tour in Europe.
The track listing is different than any if our US releases.
But if you have all of the other releases ... You may have what is on Modified minus the poster and limited packaging designed by our friends in Europe.
Hope this answers your question ....
Definitely cool for the completist collector or someone that doesn't have any of the US releases
