Sorry about the delay, but when we got home, we got a bad case of the flu. Both the misses and me had to stay in bed for a week At some time over 40 degree celsiums fever! Thanx to the airco in the airplane!
But here they are, a selection of the photo's I took at Surfer Joe Summer festival: http://www.arnyzona.com/surferjoefestival2017
Highlights? Too much to mention, but Link Protrudi & The Jaymen, Los Freneticos, Arno De Ceo, Jason Lee and Insect Surfers are the names that keep haunting my memories
Plus the afterparty a week later when Insect Surfers & Tomorrowmen played my hometown! http://www.arnyzona.com/insectsurfers
One of the highlights of my musical career was when Dave asked me to sing to 'Pinto Pacer Duster Gremlin', my inner Henry Rollins had a blast!

Well this is a bit odd coming two weeks after the fact, and we know in the world of surf, time moves so fast it might as well be two geological epochs! But, after returning from Italy I managed three days at work then got laid low until yesterday with some odd viral/bacteria attack.
It was a marvellous weekend and all staff must be roundly thanked.
I bought along 4 people who had no idea what to expect. It didn't take too long for them to see what was what and all said they would come again without being prompted by me, which is excellent! Two are looking at next year!
I wont say anything about the bands as many more say it most eloquently.
As usual, the meeting with old friends and the making of new friends is always a highlight.
Thanks

And Arny, those are once more incredible photos. Now you have another year under your belt, you need to revisit your photography talk at next year's festival. Genius

Mauro Della Prugna produced long HD videos for all the band's performances at Surfer Joe, check them out. Of note is Jason Lee's set, the enthusiasm of the crowd is simply unheard of at a domestic surf show. The crowd was literally singing back the melody of the song when it ended in an attempt to get them to keep playing!!!

Thanx everyone for the amazing words, that's why I do it, taking pics at surf concerts... for the people that can't be at the show. Give you a glimps of what happened and how the crowd was...
A little bonus, I shared a Jason Lee video @ the Tiki Room before (see last video of this post), but this one says it all! Like Danny said ' The crowd was literally singing back the melody of the song...'

I believe the only one that didn't have fun at that show was already dead. That was great.
