Hey folks,
The Lava Rats FINALLY have some live footage up on youtube...
One video is from The Hotel Utah, from KFJC's Surf Battle this past year:

The other is really recent, from The Voodoo Lounge in San Jose. Sorry about the sound in this one - a friend took it on her small digital camera, and the soundman didn't know a thing about how to make surf music sound (plus it was a PA set up for "club DJs")

Enjoy!

I spent the afternoon trying to figure something out, and it's beginning to look like I just don't have the capabilities, so I'm going to make an offer to folks...
For anyone with DVD ripping capabilities, I have a DVD of The Lava Rats from last year's South Bay Surf Stomp, which has some EXCELLENT footage. Problem is, I have no means of converting it to any type of compressed video format on my computer (at least not that I know of).
So here's the offer:
If anyone out there has capabilities, PM me, and I will send you a copy of this DVD, which will be yours to keep, along with two bucks to cover postage to send me back a disc with individual compressed videos on it for each song.
First come, first serve. This is only the second ever recording of The Lava Rats playing live, and it can be yours for FREE.

Kyle,
Thanks for the kind words, brother. I think we're just going to have our engineer master the disc. As far as I know it will be a digital recording on his hard drive -- we are going into the studio on the 29th and 30th to knock everything out.
We can't wait for the new disc either!!!
