Anyone got their order in for one of these?
Looks like it's going to be good value but just a pity that there are no colors like Sea Foam Green, Sonic Blue or Daphne Blue.

This one might make a fun modding platform. I generally really dislike cheap basses... But with a new trem, pickups, and perhaps a new neck, this could be a fun instrument on the cheap. It would seem that the OSG petition worked though... So I set up another for an American Vintage Reissue! http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=71504 —IMO. |

Thanks, Preston. So they're officially unannounced yet? Paul from my local guitar store will be at the Summer NAMM show and will bring me back one if he's able to snag it. I don't care which color. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. |

Nice! You'll have an extra strat again, I suppose... —IMO. |

No. The B-B BariStrat stays. It's just too much fun as is. I changed the tuning slightly to B-E-A-D-G-B, so I can play most songs by moving my chords and fingering up a string, but I can keep going down to B below low E when I want. Fun stuff. This will slot in between that guitar and my Squier VM J-Bass. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. Last edited: Jul 03, 2013 12:41:51 |

Why not just get an eleven string and have the whole range in one guitar? What's the Jazz bass? Which model? —IMO. |

Squier Vintage Modified '70s Jazz Bass, like this but came from M.I.R.C with a gorgeous medium vintage tint bird's-eye maple fingerboard and neck that nearly matches the body color, which is more honey-colored than in this photo. This is a detail of the fingerboard on my bass's neck. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. Last edited: Jul 03, 2013 13:40:11 |

Wonderful. Nice tone and great neck. Sooner or later I'm going to complete the vintage look by adding the chrome bridge and pickup covers. Oh, and it's not too heavy either. About what my Les Paul was, which isn't too bad for a bass. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. Last edited: Jul 03, 2013 13:52:44 |

Sounds great! Back on topic, I too am disappointed that Fender's pastel colors won't be offered. —IMO. |

I used to be hung up on color, but it has no effect on how I sound. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. |

But, yeah, that CAR Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI is mighty pretty. Ah, to have money to burn. —This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got. |

Thing is, now that these Squier basses are being made, converting a pawn shop to a "proper" bass VI shouldn't be too difficult. Yeah, that CAR finish is beautiful in person. —IMO. |

Are these really for real? Need to sell some stuff right now! If Fender starts listening and fulfilling their fans' deepest desires then I'll have a John Squire signature Jazz-guar, thank you very much. —Old punks never die... They just become surf rockers. Last edited: Jul 03, 2013 15:21:36 |

Just think of yourself as a trendsetter. Starcasters are coming back too... And the demand for a Fender electric XII is growing. EDIT: Noel, and anyone else who might pick one up - These are said to be a huge improvement on the PS Bass VI's, they should work on the squier as well. —IMO. Last edited: Jul 03, 2013 15:57:59 |
