Thanks all for the warm welcome and kind words. No big plans for this group, btw. My only goal is to have some fun while giving them the best music education I possibly can. And they can do (or not do) with it what they will. We have a great time playing together and will have made some awesome memories - that's all that matters. Highly recommend it to you guys with kiddies of your own!

@Preston, unless you are a rich/genius/philanthropist/doctor visiting from the future, I'm afraid I'm going to have to decline on her behalf. Nice of you to ask though.

Hmm... I can cook some darn good eggs?

IMO.

Haha. An egg-cooking musician? You sound just like me. She can do better Wink

Cheers

Welcome to the forum. Awesome video with some real kool riffs!

I am not obsolete, I am RETRO.... Cool

Ah, hold up... I just saw the post on OSG, that's a squier jag?

VERY nice sound.

IMO.

Yes, sir. Squier VM, all stock except for a modified Mustang bridge because I kept saddle jumping (which has nothing to do with the Squier decal obviously). Funny to think I was worried about quality when I first ordered it, and now I'm thinking about picking up a VM Jazzmaster...

I believe you'll be happy with that one too, but more than a few people here prefer the Squier J. Mascis Jazzmaster. Try them both if you can. They're not that far apart in price, especially used.

And again, that's fun to watch.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Those guitars and your tone amaze me.
Fantastic.

Cool, thanks for the tip, Noel. I will def check out the Dino Jr. version. And thanks to all you guys for the nice feedback. Been sharing with the kids, of course and they're beyond thrilled. And they're totally jonesing to write/record a new one.

Do it!

You should write a spy surf song, "To Preston with love." Big Grin

IMO.

New song, New song, New song...............
That's me chanting with encouragement.

Ok, we'll get right on it! In the meantime, I might as well share this one too. Sorry to say it's not exactly surf (more kinda post rock), but this was the first song we wrote together. I hope I don't get kicked off the forum for using hum buckers... Oh wait, there's a P-90 Phat Cat in the neck! Does that count? Wink

Another EXCELLENT tune. You guys sound great. What could be better than playing music with your kids? Welcome to the forum.

Terrific!

If they kicked folks off the forum for having a guitar with a humbucker in it, I would guess there would be darn few folks left.

Later,
Norm

Thanks guys. And yeah, you're probably right, Norm. I'm pickup agnostic myself. And 'buckers can certainly go surfing in a pinch. Intro by The XX comes to mind...

Due to popular demand, "Shark Bait" shall now be known as "Sharknado"... that is all. Carry on. Very Happy
