Looking for $325 shipped in the US. Outside the US would be more, depending on location.
Much lighter than a typical bass because it's hollow. Fiberglass body with maple center block inside. Danelectro 30" scale baritone neck (nice fat profile, flat radius), Teisco style vibrato (works quite well), Compton aluminum bridge retrofitted to a Bigsby bow tie bridge base, GFS Jazzmaster pickups. Wired with 250k volume & tone, with push pull strangle switch and push pull series/parallel on the volume and tone controls.
Here's the deal with that white bit in the center with the galloping horse- that's a printout on shiny paper to cover up some drill holes. Originally this was a guitar, I converted it to Bass VI. You could put anything you want there - a piece of white vinyl, or red, or whatever. The pickguards are clear and painted from the back. Not an expert job but looks pretty okay.
Binding has a bit of black at the bottom from sitting on a guitar stand. Is semi-coming off a bit in a couple places in these pics, but I'll fix that before shipping. The binding used is a sticky backed kind. I also have the original style binding (uncut) that you trim in places to allow curving and sort of position between the body halves. It's not cut. I'll include that if you prefer that style, but it takes some work to install.
Pickup covers are painted white (originally were cream). Paint coming off in some places.
Body is in two halves. You can get inside by removing screws on back.
Sounds really great, nice and plunky with good sounds in all three pickup positions. Good baritone sounds with that strangle switch. Lighter than my Jaguar.
Note that there is no case for this. Red/white leather strap is included. Tuned E to E with flatwounds.
