http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_b91BifI8Y

hi this tune has eaten my brain its awesome!! no tabs but i started a thread about this song at gretsch talk and im in the prosses of learning it got it all down exept the solo part..

check it out

HA HA SWEET!
I've lost the best part of 2 days trying to work this out!!
I'm pretty much up to the same spot as you, although i play it slightly different in places, generally sounds the same though Smile
Been kind of improvising with the solo and think i have something that will fit for now. It's not the same as Gregs but might just get away with it

yeah i have just picked it out by ear so it might be different in
some places. solo sounds good.. im gonna try getting a video of the whole
thing in a couple days...!!

be sure to post a vid of the whole thing when you get the chance
Yes

Will do, but i reckon i'll have to practice it for a while to get a decent vid of the full song, i usually mess it up in places Big Razz
It usually helps me to learn when i record a track in Garageband, might try that next

Greg improvises the solo so if you see different videos on youtube the solo's seem different each time.

Hi I do it like this ,not note for note but I tryed to capture Greg's feel .
Greg has a beautiful feeling and plays from his soul . He and Los Straitjsckets are so fun to watch and the show is so fun and entertaining you forget how great the playing is sometimes until you try to do it yourself . I sent Greg the video and he was very complementary of it. He and the rest of Los Straitjackets are very friendly great guys!

These are great, I purchased both editions last year. Each song has a brief write up by Danny himself explaining how they came about the song name, it's worth buying just for that!

AND to help him out with his medical bills..

This is great! You have the key to some of my missing notes, thank you Smile
Totally agree about Greg, such a fantastic style and he slots right in with Eddie like it was meant to be. No one can replace Danny Amis but there is definitely room for 3 guitars in LSJ. Pete Curry isn't too shabby on lead either!
