I was messing with that a few weeks ago, just off the top of my head. Then when I listened to it I realized my chord progression behind the melody was 'wrong'. But I really like my version so I'd probably keep it that way. It IS fun to play. I'll check your music out. Thanks |

I still have the original single song sheet music for Hawaii 5-0 I bought in 1968. The front page is mostly a photo of the Ventures holding Mosrites, with Jerry McGee on lead and John Durrill on keyboard. It does not show the key changes that occur in the Ventures' recording, although they are straightforward enough. This song has a lot of work in it done very quickly, unless you do it Mermen style. It also works playing it first at Mermen speed and then the usual speedy way, but not fast and then slowly. —Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com |
