I used to live in Columbus and if I still did I'd be at this for sure. Would love to catch The Madeira live and The Southgate House is a great venue w/ an interesting history.
If you're in the area this is a must see!

Oh, man. I lived in Cincy for a couple years. Saw quite a few shows at Southgate. Now live about 3 hours away. Seriously considering making the drive after work.

Surprisingly, not really. It was fine.
Tiki Tim just posted a bunch more photos of the Madeira from Friday's show - you can see them here:

Once again a great night of surf at the newly reopened Southgate House. The new Southgate House happens to be a huge 1800's Victorian style church set up with 3 stages. This show was the first 'real' night since the place has been up and running 2 weeks ago. A perfect setting especially for a Zombie!
All 4 bands dished up their brand of surf inspired rock which made for a buffet of blazing guitar music.
Our band The AmpFibians started off the night with our shoot from the hip bluesy style twang and made it through our set without anyone Tazing us.
Next were The Madeira who as always are at the top of their game, blowing everyone away with their tidal wave of sound and leaving the after math similar to Hurricane Sandy. These guys flat out rock! The great costumes only made it that much better.
After the seas calmed, up came Vermont's Concrete Rivals who were heading back home after a 27 day road trip. This 3 piece combo won the crowd over with a very tight set of high energy, well put together songs that brought the Zombies back from the dead. These guys are alot of fun and add their interesting twist to this surf instro buffet.
Lastly Cincinnati's surf legends The Maladroits. These guys have been at it since the 90's and are always a crowd pleaser. Their classic sound wins everyone over young or old. Their set list is loaded with new and old favorites and they nail them on the money. The Sax really work well with the mix. A class act!
Thanks to Don and Beth Schott for providing the stage set up and of course MidWest Surf Guy for getting this all together..nobody is more dedicated to making these events happen here in Cincinnati.
The manager at the Southgate House really liked what we had to offer and wants us to have surf shows on a regular basis there. This is a good sign.

Ivan,
If I didn't know better, I'd say you guys were protesting a Scientology
meeting or church.
My brother has done that a few times, and they wear Guy Fawkes masks to remain anonymous, as if they find out who you are, they will make yer life hell.

Ivan, there is a really cool, weird, shadowbox/kabuki/puppet show quality to these videos that is mesmerizing.
The band sounds great!
