I'm looking to trade my vintage skateboard for guitar parts. If this does not comply with the rules just delete, lock, etc.
I am interested in jaguar parts specifically, although I like amps and other guitar parts too. I would estimate the value around $150, I would sell it for $80. Honestly, though, I'd rather have a loaded body or neck. I'm open to trades for most brand's parts, squier, gfs, warmoth, fender, etc.

Thanks for looking!

I never thought I would see the day where there was any demand for these Variflex boards. They were pretty much the most uncool thing you could have back in the day.

There are a few skaters on here. Mostly, though, there are a bunch of middle-aged, former skaters.

I'm just running out of options. I want a 6 string jag badly, and this is my main bargaining chip. I have little cash and other than this my only thing of value is a coin collection.

You might find some luck here. I have no idea in regard to dealing in trading skateboards or guitar parts.

You should have seen me w/ my plank of wood Logan Earth Ski back in 79' when my friends were getting Sims fiberglass boards (that I couldn't afford). I guess the woodies have made somewhat of a comeback.
What is it that makes that Variflex board worth 180 bucks, or even 80, ...or even 20?

All I remember is that the Variflex boards from this time period were pretty much K-Mart boards. Everyone wanted Powell/Peralta, Alva, Vision, Santa Cruz...
But I am sure there is some antique value in this particular board.

Variflex thane has always been decent. The cloud bushings are highly sought after and the street rage wheels are decent.

Mostly vintage value. That's just what I've seen them go for in similar condition. I myself know little about the board, save the value and that it is from sometime in the 80's. Still, I'd rather trade than sell.

btw, i wasn't trying to be a jerk - I hope I didn't come off that way. I was really curious to why it may have value.
I've heard of people on here getting Squire VM Jags on here for $250 with rebates/sales! They are supposed to be real nice but haven't turned up in shops yet in my town. I'd save up for one of those and skip the project/parts idea.
Good luck with your pursuits.
