Permalink New CD release - The Mariners "Demon Surf!"

New Topic

Finally! The Mariners second CD Demon Surf! is now available for sale. This is the long awaited follow up to our 2000 release titled "Wrong Planet!"

image

Demon Surf! contains mostly original songs with a few pretty obscure covers...except for "Walk, Don't Run '64". That was the very first song we learned when we formed the band back in 1964 and was the first song we played for a live audience. For these reasons we included it in this album, played the way we did back then I even used the same guitar and amp for the lead track.

Ted at Deep Eddy Records has graciously agreed to handle distribution for us. If you'd like to purchase a copy you can contact Deep Eddy or Tone Boy at ReverbRon@yahoo.com

Here's the track list:

Jack (WoodyJ), I just want to publicly thank you for the extraordinary amount of effort (blood, sweat, tears and some choice explitives) you put in to this project. When faced with obstacle after obstacle you managed to push through to the end. It was an honor for me to work with you on "Demon Surf"

Thank you my friend

Yep, I have both of the Mariners' fine CDs in stock now. There's the new Demon Surf! and their earlier release Wrong Planet! Get 'em while they're hot!

It's why I liked surf music in the first place, why I came back to it and am trying to learn to play it.

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Thanks Jeff and Noel. We're pretty much first wave to the core, but we try to push the envelope as much as a bunch of old folks can! Cool
