I'm really blown away by how many international surf fans we have. I thought I would add a feature to display your country's flag in your profile and under your avatar in forum posts.
And don't forget to add yourself to the Member Map!

That's a cool idea Brian. It will be interesting to see all the different flags.

I am assuming most people will leave it blank
just like they don't enter where they are located now.
Lazy, or being Private?
you decide.

Wouldn't do a US flag, would love to do a State flag!

Re: state flags: I presume it's hard to get "state" flag icons for other countries, so that would leave our international friends out of the fun. But I can consider it for the future.

I have absolutely no wish to be associated with the flag of either the United Kingdom or England, although I'm happy for others to do similarly.I just want the option to not do it.

You can go under the US flag and I'll go under the English flag. That way it evens out and we both don't end up being associated with our flags. Win-win.

Cool idea, Brian!
Maybe for the people who are lazy, or the people who want it to be private, or for socio-political reasons want to not be associated with their nation's flag, their default flag icon could be an SG101 flag or something. Or maybe an icon of a reverb tank (it is rectangular shaped).
As for states, I think the written city, state that is already displayed should be adequate.

If you HAD to have a flag what would you accept?

Ha! Bartleby! Awesome response!
By the way, Brian. I think it's a great idea and I don't mind having the flag by my name.

I'm totally okay displaying the U.S.A. flag, but if I can't, how about this? I'm kidding of course, but are any Tifosi here?
