Looking to snag hard copies of each volume (1 & 2) of the Birth Of Surf comp. I know it's on Ebay or whatever but I thought I'd check to see if anyone had copies they wanted to part with here. Thanks!

Both "Birth of Surf" compilations are still available from Barne's & Noble booksellers. www.bn.com Sometimes Barnes & Noble will have stock in their warehouse after the release has gone out of print because they buy in bulk when the release first comes out. After the "populatity wears off" a particular release, the remaining stock sits in warehouse. (I have found numerous "out of print" CD's especially on the Ace & Sundazed labels this way). With surfmusic being the "type" of genre that it is (somewhat "fringe" in popular mainstream culture), the availability is surprising. The secret is out. Last edited: Jul 26, 2012 11:08:59 |

Thanks Jon, I was just hoping to maybe snag used copies for cheaper. I haven't bought anything but vinyl for several years but I wouldn't mind having the liner notes for these. — |
