Not only am I anal about what everything will sound like, I've even sat down with a metronome to figure out ideal tempos to reference for when we go into the studio. Plus, it's good to listen to the new/rusty stuff over and over and over to get it into my head so that it gets into my hands in second nature. ~B~ Top

Sadly, I spend most of my time listening to music in my car so out of curosity I like to hear what it sounds like in there. Also I'll listen to demos of to try to figure out what I'm going to play on new songs. Bill, That's actually a VERY smart thing to do -- most of us these days forget that the era of "stereos" is out - sadly, 99% of the time these days, music is either listened to on the computer, iPod, or in the car. I know all of our recordings sound WONDERFUL through those nice stereos or in studio monitors, but a bulk of people's music listening usually happens with a ton of background noise or with some amount of digitally compressing. ~B~ When we were mixing our CD, we listened to it on a portable boombox as well as the studio monitors so that we would know how it would sound on a low-end setup.
