I recently pulled the plug on a Dynacord Echocord Super 65. Something was just too fascinating and tempting about these machines. So when I saw one on the internet I bought it. Amazing sound but after a while it became apparant that there was echo missing. Not a lot repeats. I took it to a tube amp repair man, but he couldn't figure what to do with it. The recording heads were not working properly anymore. I called another repairman specialized in old effect gear and he was like: there are a lot of spare parts available on the internet. Not really there were, of I couldn't find them. Anyway, I found someone in Germany, Bobby's reparaturen. He mailed me: sure, just send it. So I send the device wrapped up in isolation stuff to Germany. And a week or so later I got the Dynacord back. And it's working!
So far I haven't had the guts to try it out at a gig. But I'm going to use it when we record our new album this March.

I have A Dynacord super 65 as well as a Klemt Echolette (almost the same design) and they are fantastic devices!
They look like they were built to last forever, so assuming it's well maintained, it should do fine at a gig. The preamp on these is amazing!
Enjoy!

That's the same guy that got my Echolette up and running. As Viktor points outs, the preamp is pretty great, but at least my unit is very noisy, even with the echo off, so not really very good for recording. Hopefully yours isn't so noisy!

Thanks! I'm still a little careful with it although it sure looks sturdy.

Bobby did a great job. It's not very noisy although it obviously makes more noise than a pedal. You can hear the tape running.
