Sold -

I'm selling a 1967 Yamaha SG-12.

I have no idea of price, but I was thinking of $500 + shipping. I'll certainly take offers.
I have a UPS account, and I get a pretty good price on shipping.

PM me, or email me chris@bigkahunabicycles.com

This started out as a guitar I bought to restore another SG-12 that was in original cosmetic shape. This one had a bunch of the missing parts I needed, but had been repainted, etc. It came to me looking like this...

I was going to just sell the leftover bits, but I needed a good project. I realized the original red paint was under the horrible gold, and the original headstock paint was under the black. Since the new paint was lacquer, and the original paint is pretty much impervious to lacquer thinner, I stripped the new paint to the original red. The original paint had been scuffed up, so there is some residual damage and some leftover holes from the oversized pickguard, but it looks pretty darn good.

Here's what is original -
1. Body
2. Neck - frets are in excellent shape -
3. Tremolo except for the trem arm and collet
4. Bridge
5. 4 bridge roller saddles

Here's what has been replaced
1. Tuners
2. Pickguard - I used an original as an outline. It's not perfect, but its decent.
3. Pickups and electronics. - these are MIJ Jaguar pickups, 250k CTS pots
4. 2 bridge saddles
5. String guide
6. Tremolo arm and collet - it's from a MIJ Jaguar.

The guitar plays great - surprisingly easy to play, even for me who isn't a very good 12 string player. It's really jangle-y, especially with a compression pedal.

I have a hard case for it that is in fair condition.
