Ha ha ha. Beach Blanket Bingo meets Talking Heads. I'm not much for spoken or shouted lyrics, but then, I'm old. They sure know how to have fun though. Would've been nice to be at the shoot too, but the girls look young enough to be my grand-daughters. It's good to be in the band. TMI?

Ah, yes! You`re right.
But even John 5 is nearer to Surf than Rammstein.

Wohin gehst du, wohin?! I think I could learn German listening to this band. Already I have "Du Hast" and "Rammstein" in my head lately. I don't think I'd better get into them anymore. Their hooks are very catchy!
This was also posted by someone else fairly recently. The video is a brilliantly done parody, of course, and the saturated colors are especially amazing.
Is Rammstein as popular in Germany as they are internationally? What is their reputation there?

That does it! I'm so old I never watched Baywatch. I knew about it though, but never really gave that show a thought. And, who or what is John 5?

Yes, I love the Hasselhoff reference scene also.
Not everybody can do this scene.
I couldn`t!
A few years before the guys looked a bit different:

They had unbelievable perfect "fat" suits! Nice video idea also!

Yes, the video is of course a parody. Here`s a documentary about. And a bit interviews with the guys.

And, yes they are popular here. When they are playing here, it`s ALWAYS sold out. When they would play here in Berlin for a month they would be sold out every day.
They are ALWAYS provocating! In different ways!
Check this live shot at about 3:20 minutes.

And a legendary video which I couldn`t believe that a band is doing SUCH a video:
http://www.rocktube.us/zrWrqogLqGh/Rammstein_Pussy_Uncut_in_HD.html
You can say totally stupid lyrics, but as said before they LOVE to provocate.
...oh, it`s going totally off topic now!!!! They are not a surf band, I know!!!
Anyway enjoy!
cheers from funny Germany!

I wonder if they were aware of the Surf Punks' "My Beach" when they did this?

I liked them, maybe Mein Land and Pussy combination may be just fine!

John 5 is a guitarist who's pretty well known throughout the Metal scene do to having played for Marilyn Manson for many years. Recently though he's been playing for Rob Zombie and putting out some amazing solo albums as well. Here's a video of his, one of the many I found on youtube, but one of the first that really wasn't metal.
