Unbelievably, my good mates The Surfin' Lungs have been playing live for 30 years. They had originally scheduled to play a gig to celebrate the exact anniversary of their first ever show, but Mr Ray Bans, who has stepped behind the kit again for this show and their upcoming tour of Italy, suffered a detached retina and the show had to be rearranged.
Well, it's finally here and the Lungs will be headlining a very special Endless Summer show at The Prince Albert in Brighton next Saturday, with support from the estimable Space Agency.
The Lungs aren't letting on what will be in the setlist, but expect to hear lots of songs they haven't played in many a long year and they do promise to play something from every one of their albums.
Doors will open at 8:00 pm and it will cost you five English pounds to get in, so any UK based SG101ers should get themselves along.
