February Birthdays 
On November 5, 2011, instead of my usual every-first-Saturday-of-the-Month ‘SURF-ROCK SHINDIG’ @ Otto’s Shrunken Head in NYC, I put on a Co-Produced show with NYC independent/alternative music promoter, FRANK WOOD. This recurring, infrequent, show Frank and I collaborate on we call The UNSTEADY/WOOD “BEACH BALL”. It also marked Day 2 of Frank’s yearly “10 Days of Wood” campaign –live music shows 10 successive days in a row…quite an accomplishment.
On that night, we had four bands perform. Originally we had 5 bands, but JASON JAMES & THE BAY STATE HOUSEROCKERS, a rockabilly band, cancelled last minute. The “Beach Ball” shows tend to be mixed genre, with the higher emphasis on surf music.
