In addition to the favorite surf guitar poll, I thought it could be interesting to see everyone's preferences when it comes to Fender guitar and bass colors. I know it could be really hard to pick just one... in fact I can't do it myself at the moment

I know I left out several finishes. Just choose the "Other" option and specify below if it's not among the listed ones.

Yeah, I voted for other: Sea Foam Green for me. Surf Green is cool too, but it's more blue than green under the right light.

I went for olympic white, and I'dlike to add that its got to be white still, not yellowed, I like the original 'bright' white better.

Oly White, and I think the yellowing looks good. OLY Jazzmasters and Jaguars with the tortoise shell guards not only look good, but they photograph well in black and white.

I voted for Lake Placid Blue.
When I bought my '75 Fender Jazz bass new in the mid-70's, I bought one in "walnut" finish. I was in a "jazz" phase. Lake Placid Blue was the one I should've picked. I always liked it. I have to say though, that I can't tell the difference in sound/tone between my "walnut" finish J-bass and any other color J-bass.

Interesting...I've never seen a J-bass like that. Is it a factory finish or a custom refinish? That does seem like a sharp look...

Really tough question... like being in a candy shoppe. "I'll take one of each please."
Wasn't there a shade called Coral?

After some thinking I decided for the Olympic White as it really looks great combined with the red tortoise pickguard on a lot of Fender guitars and basses. "Just all around classy" as Jake put it.

I have to go for Sherwood Green (sometimes called Sherwood Green Metallic). I have that on my Jazzmaster - so does Gein from Gein and the Graverobbers, and it looks SWEET with the mint green pickguard and aged "creme" accessories.

Vintage: Sherwood Green (preferably with tortoise guard and white pup covers & knobs)
Modern: Candy Tangerine...I just dig it.

That was really tough. I voted for Shoreline Gold, though hell every one of the early sixties Fender colors is a beaut!! But Fiesta Red, Foam Green and Olympic White are a few other favorites (I guess I should mention Surf Green, as well). Blonde Strats can look amazing, as well, especially if you can see the grain through the finish.
Isn't it strange that no '60s surf guitarists used either Surf Green or Foam Green Fenders? I find that completely inexplicable. Or am I overlooking someone?
