I'll definitely look for two of the "low-power" versions of the BW designed to handle a measly 100w, if/when I reload my Twin as a combo. Or maybe put Eminence Texas Heat noes in there for the sake of a buyer's back.

Eminence Lil Texas Neos would be great for a Twin as well and definitely cut weight.

Jeff

closeback cabs w Celestion v30s should get more attention. The speakers are rated at 65w each with a deep ribbed, and heavily doped cone.
My Fender custom shop Tonemaster 212 came w a set. Originally conceived as high power ceramic versions of vox blues for 412 cabs, these speakers seem like they were made for closebacked bassman cabs. There is a smoothness to the top end I love but the articulation of the high mids is actually enhanced because of the design (blues guys complain about the upper mids hump) so nothing is lost and most importantly non of that irritating hifi sheen. As well the low end is tight and woody at high volume. The only problem is that the good ones were made in Ipswitch England, and now are made in china. Not the same speaker in my opinion. I did just pickup up a WGS Veteran 30 that is an american built Vintage 30, but I've not broken it in yet so I cant say if feel it competes w the british build celestion Vintage 30s.These celestion V30s were meant for high wattage amps and need to be cranked to break in the surrounds because they will ALWAYS sound stiff with pea shooter amps, and the complaints are usually from the 1x12 combo crowd, Bassman speakers all the way IMO
