What's everyones all time favorite surf album front cover? I'm a big fan of artwork from the first half of the 60s so naturally I like almost all of the 1st wave album covers but also think there are lots of great covers from modern era bands. However, I can't really decide on only one so I'll just pick one of my top favorites.

I'm thinking, now, that Sonic Bullets by the Bambi Molesters is my favorite. I have it on LP so I am slightly slanted towards it.

For first-wave, it's gotta be:
For something more current, I really like the artwork on the Surf Coasters' "Surface Impressions." The front and back cover of the booklet have a really cool painting of a floating amusement park that's creepy as hell.
This comp has some vaguely surfy instros on it:

— That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Yeah, those Ed Roth covers really should be appreciated in full LP size. Unfortunately I only have the CDs.

That's one of my all time favorites too although Sundazed got especially the blue color way wrong on that scan.
Should look more like this:

Another cover I really like. Too bad the music isn't that good though.

This is the LP/CD that first got me into surf/instro music. It was really the cover that grabbed me. I was fairly new to Bellingham and getting into the local music scene. I picked up one of the Estrus catalogs (the Sir Estrus Quarterly), saw this album listed, and ordered it right away. I was hooked and rapidly built my collection from then until now.
Thanks,
Sean
