anyone intersted in a member comp listening session? Since we have a chatroom AND teamspeak, we could pick a time and agree to listen to the comp all at the same time, and discuss songs in the chatroom and/or teamspeak. chatoom is pretty easy and open to all members, TS needs application and a headset, both would work fine for me. everyone would have to download the comp beforehand, since I dont think the site allows for a lot of people streaming at the same time. Brian?
times I can propose which are good for me are JAN 1st 10pm CET (ie 1pm SoCal time) or friday JAN 5th, same time.
I'd understand if you US people prefer a time in your evenings, but someone would have to propose a time, and most likely wont be able to join, though late SoCal evenings coincide with my mornings.
who's up for it?

Listen from archive.org and all will be fine. Do not all download from here at the same time

That sounds like fun. I've been curious about the team speak. If I'm around on the 1st, I'll try tuning in.

I'll be there too, chatroom and teamspeak - have to figure out how teamspeak and listening through the PC works though.

I just got set up - I went out this morning and bought a headset/mic.
This will be so cool! I can't wait to talk to everyone!

We just did a listening session and it was awesome!
one thing, doing teamspeak and chat at the same time doesn't really work, too much multitasking. since today was pretty much a teamspeak affair, I wanna do the same thing friday chatroom only for those not on teamspeak. Just post if you're intersted and we'll see what it brings
it's mighty cool to know to be listening to the same music with a bunch of people all over the place, and to exchange comments. plus it's a great comp!
cheers

I was gonna say how well can you listen to the cd, if your all talking on a mic and listening to other people while music is playing, if your typing all your gonna hear is the music, and the keys when you type.
just an idea.

Wannes PMed me and said I type to fast to keep up with,
Funny I never took a typing class or a computer class in school, and have only had a computer for 6 or 7 years.
I guess I picked up typing pretty quick, but thats probably why I mis spell al the time

Thanks go to Danny, Sonichris, WR, ButchDelux, and TonyBologna for getting on TeamSpeak and to Jeff BTD for typing away old school. Like I said, BTD, I'll come over and setup TeamSpeak for ya, just need the air fare. ;)
I hope we can make that a semi-regular thing.

Brian, thanks for the offer, but considdering I cant afford the 220 bucks to fly to portland for the SP/GO show, don't look to me to pay for your trip here to work on my computer.
I'd love to get you out here to the Holly land for some real surf shows

its the Instant Messanger box, below the shout box on the left hand side, and down a bit.

you need to click open the "instant messenger", and then you have to be invited by someone to get into a new or existing chat I think. don't click it, and then when nothing happens give up. just wait for a short while untill someone "picks you up".
