Would like to have our latest cd pressed on vinyl...anyone have a connection?

I've heard good things about Pirates Press out of San Francisco.

Insect Surfers
The Tikiyaki Orchestra
The Scimitars
Lords Of Atlantis
Fiberglass Jungle - Surf Radio

United Record Pressing (Nashville) they tend to be the go-to company...

THE KBK ... This is the last known signal. We offer Sanctuary.

They are the go to if you want the cheapest see-through vinyl out there...

I've never had a problem with United Record Pressing - maybe they went through a spell though where their vinyl was less than optimal. I seem to remember hearing some about some negative experiences with them over the years. But the first few Continental/Double Crown 7"s were done there, and our latest 7", by The Surfites, was done there as well. Quality has been top-notch every time. I think Norton and Jack White's vinyl label all use United.

You are gonna wanna make sure you have your material mastered for vinyl. Your CD master won't cut it. No pun intended.

Ok, to be fair, my dissatisfaction is based on the mid 90s. Hopefully they have improved, but I have been much happier with European companies. Metal plates and much better quality vinyl at a lower price that cancels out the shipping.

I was in a band who pressed two LPs with Erika Records in CA and they were amazing. They stood the ultimate test because we okayed our test presses for the 2nd album we did with them and when the final finshed albums arrived, side 1 sounded Very slightly off center. Side 2 was perfect. We sent them back the test pressings and 5 of the final pressing and about a month later, we got a whole new batch of 500 with absolutely no cost to us. They were super cool to us especially even when they didn't have to be (they were repressing the whole capitol back catalogue at the time).
I am now stuck with a bunch of bunk vinyl though. Anybody have use for lots and lots of imperfect records? They'de be good to make clocks out of!

I would think that the record pressers would take the bad ones back,
and melt them down, and reuse the vinyl.
