Breaking with the protocol of hiring experienced time travelers, surf band/chrono research unit The TomorrowMen have hired civilian contractor Lazarus Longfellow as their new guitarist.
Mycroft Eloi:
"We have known Mr. Longfellow for a very, very, very long time and we know he will work well with us"
Lazarus Longfellow is described as being immortal, possibly older than 15,000 years. He began his association with the T-Men during the Pleistocene era and has worked with them as ground support during their frequent research missions.
Commented Tomorrowman Skyles Angstrøm
"Lazarus is a trusted friend and comrade, we feel he has earned a permanent place on our team."
Currently, Longfellow will assist the T-Men with their research into the prediscovery of the element Momentium, the repair of the their time machine, and several upcoming shows including:
- Billetproof, 9/17 in Antioch
- The Tractor, 9/22 in Seattle
- Forbidden Island, 10/13 in Alameda
For the complete journal entry on Lazarus Long, check the shallow end soon.

He's gotta be both outta sight and outta time as the T-men don't let slackers into the transporter room.

That can't be a coincidence right? I remember from my childhood a very nice SF novel by Robert Heinlein, called "Methuselah's Children". It was about a group of super old guys who were almost immortals, and this guy named Lazarus Long was the oldest, and the only one who denied the pleasures of organ replacement, or something. He's seen the decades and centuries come and go, so very fitting the TomorrowMen.

Thanks, vintage (the 10 Reverbs...), right?
Anyway, It's a great book, I was struck seeing this name after all these years... Lazarus, the coolest old guy character ever. He wore skirts, BTW. Superb stage name.

They were kilts, and he had many weapons strapped to his legs underneath!!

So far, the worst thing about joining the T-Men has been finding out that there's still no cure for male pattern baldness in the year 3000.
