i'll start--
my 62 AVRI jaguar

www.surfintheeye.com

A toss-up for me:
Either my Hallmark Sweptwing or my Crate Powerblock

Hell, I was so into the Powerblock that I bought a second for my bassist.

~B~

Vintage Jaguar for $1200
64 Custom Shop Vibroverb for $800

I'd say I was the big winner for the year. I got so lucky on my purchases. For those curious, the Vibroverb was brand new and it was just mistaken for a '63 RI Vibroverb.

'65 RI 'Blonde' Twin Reverb ($1200)
A little overpriced but, its pretty sweet. The only thing bad Id say about it is the reverb is not as good as I hoped. (Im definitely gonna get an outboard unit) but the trem is awesome and its LOUD.

'65 blackface Bassman Head.

Runner-up: Crate Powerblock

Happy Holidays!!! Very Happy

2nd place: new Fender Jaguar Bass VI (Baritone Custom) $630
3rd place: new Crate Powerblock $100

Honorable mention: '85 Fender Stratocaster Contemporary MIJ (burgundy mist) $300

It's been a good year! Very Happy

Merry Christmas all!!

I didn't buy too much guitar related stuff this year, but the best one would be the 5 loop "loop-master" strip. It was a result of the worst buy of 2006 - a Fender pedal tuner that sucks tone like crazy.

I bought a lot of vintage Fender this year.....

Hands down the deal for 2006 was a PRISTINE (I mean time capsule flawless, both head and cab) 1967 Showman with early silverface cosmetics. Aluminum piping - love that look - very NASA (with blackface AB 763 ciruitry) cab has a JBL D130F and tone ring with original trem pedal and black plate RCA 6l6's for $1225.!!

My 1965 Jazzmaster into my 1965 Tank into this Showman......ohhh baby...it's been a good year....

But the BEST thing I aquired this year - my first born son in June!

62 AVRI Jazzmaster w/ buzzstop. I love it. Didn't do as well as Jake $$-wise though Smile

Whoops, Bill knows I meant Jazzmaster. I'm really used to the Jag still.
