You might actually maximize your profit by selling the speakers separately.

Wow! That's pretty crazy. Does it all work? I read that those things had a built in tuner, fuzz, oil can delay thingy, and powered speakers. Seth Lover helped design them for CBS. They cost a fortune to make and didn't sell very many of them. This is the best shape example I've seen. I saw one on eBay years ago that was in horrible condition.

Just a follow up note....... When I bought this amp, I was a professional musician. Our drummers father ran the Fender Plant in Fullerton, when CBS bought the company....... What he said was CBS invested over a million dollars in this design (with the design help of Seth Lover).
I paid $1,600 for this set up back in 1970. (that would equate to over $9,000 today!) I am not saying it is worth $9,000....lol JUST saying that it was VERY expensive in 1970. If I remember right, a 1968 VW sold new for about the same amount (now I just figured out why my parents thought this was a crazy purchase at the time).
I would like to see about $750 for all three items..... is that reasonable? It is totally working and playable with no tears in the grill cloth. ........

You could probably only sell it locally because shipping would be insane. The last couple heads went for $200ish on ebay, that is a number I see elsewhere on the net.
I have no idea what the powered speakers are worth, but I do believe the speakers would be worth more pulled out, especially for shipping purposes.

Yes.... it all works.... I am retired now and getting back into music. Plugged my new Hammond XR into it..... Everything works.....
When I was young and playing professionally, I protected this thing like gold..... it is in great shape. I have cleaned the grill cloth on the larger amp...... and it looks very good. It has been in the back of the same closet in California (low humitity) for the last thirty years. I live in Corona California..... only 4 miles from the Fender Museum. My preference would be to sell it to somebody that would appreciate it for what it is........ The other option would be to donate it to the museum.... I doubt there are many complete sets like this in existence.......

Dale:
I saw that pic of you next to the Avanti and said to myself "that's gotta be Dale P". Lost track of you after DSO in Goleta tanked and you transferred to Space & Comm at the end of the "Mary" days. If I'm right, please PM me. If not, sorry for the bother.
Oh yeah, I'm John, your friendly Legal Advisor from Hughes. You and Sutter and I gave the Royal Ordnance guys a 2 day crash course in US Government procurement, FAR and DFAR, so we could buy their mortar system. The senior guy was drunk the whole time!

John......It is me..... you could tell by the UGLY! .....lol will send number....... Want to tell you about the coolest instrument ever..... a ROLAND FR-X7 accordion........ I play it 5 hours a day. Most keyboards sound kinda a like other instruments... This thing has an air flow sensor, and pressure sensor in the bellows. In addition, the keyboard is velocity and pressure sensitive. So.... you can play Harmonica, and using the bellows, sound 99% like a Harmonica. You can over blow it and it sounds like a Harmonica being over blowin! Same with the sax... it will pop an octave higher when the bellows are over pushed. In the Flute mode... the overtones change just like a real flute when the bellows are played right!
Will pm you now...... enough about accordions (on a surf music web site.....lol. Although Gary Lewis and the Playboys had a Cordovox accordion!

Try this..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZMA3yztFIk
BTW John...... if you think the Accordion is NOT a sexy instrument.... TRY THIS link! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msdRdzZnMMU
