I think this is an absolutely incredible bill, and I am looking forward to a huge weekend of surf music in the Bay Area. If you didn't see the line-up for the Sunday show, click here
It's wonderful that the SG101 Con is bringing in European bands, and that they're coming through the Bay Area. Augmented by three fantastic bands (Secret Samurai, Surside IV, Thee Swank Bastards) that are willing to travel, and it makes for a great weekend.
Don't miss 'em! Mandatory attendance!

Mel, I'll drink a Mai Tai for ya'. Just a few days left. BTW we'll be playing as a 3-piece because Ben will be out of town this weekend so your kinda stuck with the remaining Deadbeats. Also, hopefully we'll have the EP for this show. Im pretty excited about this show!

Good luck with this show guys,
Can't swing it finance wise,
and still have lots to do to get ready for SG101 convention.
Have a great gig, and time.
Somebody have a Capt. Grog for me.
and if you drink a Mai Tai, be sure you put your pinky out when you sip it,

Maybe I can justify a night in the bay area and catch this Saturday night followed by the Sunday show at Hotel Utah. Would be a good warm up for the Surf Guitar 101 convention.

Great Scott!
I don't know how to say this politely, but if you live within 100 miles of the Bay Area and you don't come to these shows, you are NO surf fan. (Unless you have a really good excuse, and none of this, "My dog ate my homework" crap.)
Bradipos IV - ITALY! - 6,300 miles
Secret Samurai - San Diego CA - 488 miles
Surfside IV - Phoenix AZ - 750 miles
The Deadbeats - San Pablo CA - 18.4 miles
They are coming here for you!!!

I agree. I think this show will be a freakin' blast! I hope a lot of you can make it. And if not, at least spread the word.

I must be a surf music fan: Pacifica to Alameda 16.7 miles (26.9k)....
plus I'm missing the 11th annual Kapuna Kahuna Classic at Pacifica State Beach on Saturday, a local surf contest that I have actually won trophies in the past. So I'll see everyone there...and I'll be sure to buy Ryan a birthday Mai tai !

Seriously? I thought Pacifica was way farther than that? Well hopefully you enjoy the show Bruce.
BTW I believe there will be copies (not many though) of Mike Barbwire's new 7" for those of you who are interested. See ya' soon.....
