I can tell you, this is one sweet rig! Robby bought it end of July 2010, along with the matching reverb unit. Seller was the best friend of the original owner and former band mate from the '60's who passed away quite a time back. He held onto it for sentimental value until last July. Since then, it's been stored at my place and played maybe 10 times, mostly by me! It just SINGS! This is not an amp that's been through multiple owners, hauled around on the road, modified or abused. It's the real deal, pristine and unmolested. If our surf band project hadn't fizzled, I'm sure it would NOT be for sale. OK Robby, wheres my 10%

Thanks John, you told the story as I would have if i had a serious buyer..Just for the record the amps in perfect condition however, their'e some Tolex scuffing on the head as it was used by the second owner but on the good side the JBL d130 is original and clean! The Cabinet is a 9.7 condition w/ covers..

When I was a poor kid in college, there was a Ferrari dealer near campus that I would walk over and visit, looking at the unobtainium for sale. They had a new Daytona Coupe, a used 275 GTB Long Nose, a used 330 GTS and a used Dino 246 GT.

All this great gear reminds me of those days. I want all of it and can buy none of it. I've always had better taste than budget, or talent.

Roby - Is this the cabinet that came with the amp originally? The grill cloth looks a little lighter than that on the head. Maybe just the lighting....?

I know this rig very well, since it sat in my living room for the better part of a year and I played it more that Robby did. The cab and the head are the original set, as is the reverb unit which Robby is keeping. Must be the lighting on the grill cloth. I have a pic that was taken inside, and the grill cloth on all 3 pieces matches. See my post of June 3, above, for a summary of the amp's history. Cheers!

To answer the question about the grill cloth, Yes the speaker cabinets grill cloth is in fact lighter because the Cabinet never got used and had a cover on it .. The head was used and the grill-colth is a bit darker but not that much..
