No comments on this in 24 hours?

I really thought Matt Q did a great job on lead. And seeing Dick Dodd play with PJ and Jim Roberts (off stage) was historic! Jim Frias on sax was icing on the cake.

Brian,
If it was posted on Facebook there would be lots of replys, and likes.
Big Grin
It was an awesome performance, and an awesome day.
Thanks to Tom and Freddie and all the others who posted videos
for those who couldn't be there.

I'll comment -

It's a great clip, and as good as it sounds here, it was even better in person. Who needs a bass?

To see what is the remains of The original Bel-Airs play music the way they played it back in '61 was a real thrill for me. Seeing Jim Roberts on piano, Dick Dodd whacking the crap out of the drums, and Jim Frias tootin' his horn, no to mention P.J. and Matt's excellent guitar interplay really brought home how great this stuff is - at least to me. I seriously had to fight back tears of joy watching that day.

As good as this was, all I can think about is how great was it back in the 60's? Take this amount of talent, and add some youthful exuberance, and about 400 dancing teens, and I'll bet it was out of sight.

I'm really glad that Tom has decided to share some of his footage - not only of the Eddie B benefit, but some of the other great shows he's shot footage of.

AWESOME !!! really wish to be there

El Papu & los Fantasticos Reverberantes

Excellent! One of my favorite Belairs tracks! (But how were they able to play the whole thing in two and a half minutes?? The original is four and a half minutes long!)

anyway, nicely done by everyone! And it's nice to see trad surf played on Strats... Twisted Evil

I have 2 versions of Bedlam, one is only 2:21.

Agreed. I almost get spoiled getting to see these great performances that day, but they are no less special. Everyone is great, and yeah, the historical significance of it all sort of gives me the chills. I especially have enjoyed seeing Dick Dodd on drums. Too cool.

Ah. I forgot about the short version, I only have the long one on my iPod, so that's the only one I ever hear anymore. I think I prefer the long one!
