Excellent Tuck! George Jones better watch out-or did you put enough glissandos and muted double-stops in there for it to qualify as "Surf"? Laughing

Q: What do a tornado and an Arkansas divorce have in common?

A: Some poor a**hole is gonna lose his trailer!

I think you can sing it to Pipeline, but of course I had Okie from Muskogee in mind.

It's kind of awkward to joke about the trailers just now, though there's a grain of truth in it. Not just in the south, of course, but everywhere.

I agree and hope all on this forum are OK (Mom, Ostrow, Morph?). I have a lot of friends in NC, and being here on the West Coast, I'm a bit insulated. I lived for a while in a part of South Carolina known as "Tornado Alley"; between Barnwell and Blackville. It was amazing how often the damage was limited to mobile homes.

Thanks elrey, it got crazy on Saturday pretty quickly, but it looks like all SG101 members in the NC area are accounted for (I verified this by email and facebook; Carol reported a "sloppy, choppy SE wind swell, forecast to be windy all day 15 to 25 mph from the southeast and then windier this afternoon out of the south".)

All's well here. Same goes for Morphball & Murph too (Thankfully!)

We're all sort of south of Durham, west of Raleigh... just missed us.

Clearly, the impact was scattered, but significant. Snippet from a local news page: "Tornadoes touched down an estimated 62 times in 20 North Carolina counties on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Up to 23 people were killed."

Lastly, here's a wicked video snippet from down town Raleigh. I believe this is looking south - wanna say the high rise in sight is the BB&T building. I'm probably 10'ish miles west of where this came from as the crow flies. We had rain and wind, but otherwise had no clue this was happening in real time.

...back to the regularly scheduled convo on lyrics!

PS - No offense taken by the joke. Sad reality is besides sunshine and butterflies, those housing structures don't stand much of a chance in most any weather situation.

Yep, I very briefly lived in a trailer while in Florida, but anyone doing this in a region nicknamed "Tornado Alley" has got to have a death wish!

Anyone done a parody based on surfing the Internet?

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

we didn't even get rain from the front but they got hammered north of nags head, about an hour and a half from where i live. the 'wave riding vehicles' surfboard factory got hit and there were pieces of surfboard blanks up in the trees.
