February Birthdays 
went to see the Ventures last night at BB Kings NYC (Feb 23 2011)
the band (Nokie Edwards, Don Wilson, Leon Taylor, Bob Spalding) played a total of 24 songs -- always a joy to watch THE VENTURES perform
I thought at first the sound mix was way off - especially in that Don had his amp too high (did he set it at "11"?), which was drowning out and overpowering Bob Spalding early in the set, when Bob was playing lead and Nokie bass. The situation seemed to correct itself as the evening wore on
I videotaped 4 songs and they are all up on my YouTube page now. Note that on the last 2 tunes, Leon was joined by a guest drummer to his left, none other than MARKY RAMONE!! (just so it's clear, they were on stage together -- Marky did not take Leon's place)
