First time I ever saw Joe Pass on a solid body guitar or referred to as young. But the playing was what I always expect from Joe Pass, smooth almost liquid lines that seem to flow from the guitar. Beautiful music to say the very least and an incredible player. |

Not only what you said, but Joe without a 'stash! And playing with a pick! I saw a video of him decades later introducing a song telling the audience he would try it with a pick, but it turns out he started that way, of course. And he had fantastic technique in the first place. It just goes to show everyone who is hemming and hawing about these strings or that brand guitar or this or that amp: it's ALL about the artist. — |
